This wonderful Antique Edwardian Suffragette brooch features a beautiful hand painted depiction of flowers on Porcelain in the colours of the Suffragette movement.
Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Purple, Green and White stones which symbolised: Purple for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope.
A magnificent brooch and piece of history that has been mounted in a newer Silver frame and comes with a newer secure clasp.
