This beautiful Antique Victorian brooch has been commissioned in Pinchbeck gilded in Yellow Gold to form the shape of a knot, known as a Lover’s Knot. The brooch is further adorned with six pieces of beautiful Scottish Agate and engraved with foliate style designs.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid-1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
